Who are we?
Art Groove is a multi-city cultural platform producing high- energy art, fashion, and music experiences. Since 2021, we’ve built spaces where emerging and established creatives connect with audiences through immersive exhibitions, nightlife-driven programming, and community-forward events.

We are a Latino-identifying art collective and nomadic gallery dedicated to cultivating a meaningful community while shaping the next wave of cross-disciplinary contemporary art. We aim to curate an atmosphere that uplifts art enthusiasts, provides artists with opportunities to develop an audience, display, and sell their work in galleries, and network with visionaries.
Through bridging visual art – with a direct focus on painters and designers – music, and fashion, we conduct an elevated experience of integrating art and fellowship. Our goal is to connect artists of all backgrounds and mediums together to create a community brimming with innovation, education, and mutual-aid.
We, the founding members of ArtGroove, gathered our shared skill set and experience to bring our vision to life and hope to spark others to do the same.
Goals
We focus on scouting new artists and assisting in building their network. Showcasing artwork can be vulnerable and intimidating, and Art Groove prioritizes a safe and encouraging space to both display and sell artwork without the pressures of traditional galleries.
With a blend of exhibition and festivity, ArtGroove is a comfortable and laid back space to frame a pathway for upcoming artists, that is welcoming for all, whether you’re a new artist, new collector, or would like to share a space with others who enjoy creativity. Along with visual artists, there are also vendors, djs, and food and drinks provided.
Every night feels like opening night.

Meet The Collective
Shelby Jaquez
Creative Director
Shelby Jaquez comes from a Dominican family in Paterson NJ, he worked on his passions & followed his vision as a painter; a True Artist. Shelby created the Name Art Groove in a burst of inspiration when planning an art show in the early fall of 2021, he has been a dedicated Artist since 2018 primarily creating representational artwork.
Alina Tejada
Curator
Alina Tejada was appointed Curator because of her natural talent for Creative Direction. Alina is a mixed media Artist who comes from a Dominican Household & was born to be a Visionary Artist, she never is afraid to think outside the box in terms of creative flow.
Richard Linares
Communications & Artist Submissions
Richard took action with the design of our Event flyer as well as helping organize the Events. He comes from a Mexican household growing up in Passaic NJ & found his passion in fine Art as he grew up during difficult times which inspired him to use Art to express himself.
